Two-thirds of UK public want merchants to heighten security measures for online shopping

LONDON, 19 October, 2017 – More than half (52 percent) of UK consumers think fraud is an inevitable part of shopping online, according to new research conducted by Paysafe, a leading global payments provider. In a wake-up call for online business, the Lost in Transaction report contradicts the widely-held belief that consumers value convenience and experience over security when shopping online. Instead, 60 percent of consumers are willing to accept any security measures needed to eradicate fraud, while two thirds (65 percent) are open to the introduction of more secure payment processes such as two-factor authentication.

RiskIQ Researchers Track Ecommerce Threat, Discover Network of Threat Actors Reshipping Items Purchased with Stolen Cards

In October of last year, the RiskIQ Threat Research team released "Compromised E-commerce Sites Lead to 'Magecart," a report profiling the e-commerce threat they discovered and dubbed 'Magecart,' which injects JavaScript code into e-commerce sites running outdated and unpatched versions of shopping cart software from Magento, Powerfront, and OpenCart. By logging consumer keystrokes, these attackers capture large quantities of payment card information. 

Now, by following a new strain of Magecart, the team has discovered a direct link to the outcome of the stolen credit cards for threat actors, offering rare insight into the physical world operations of actors tied to digital threats.

Ecommerce Survey: Evidence of retailer growing pains

London – 19 June 2017: Business is booming for e-commerce retailers according to a new global* market study announced today by Peoplevox, a leading expert e-commerce Warehouse Management System (WMS) provider.

Peoplevox’s “The 2017 E-Commerce Fulfilment Report” found sales of 82% of the e-commerce and multichannel businesses taking part had increased in 2016, with only 6% reporting a decrease in orders. While many voiced concerns over increasing competition, Brexit and currency fluctuations, the majority (88%) expected a further increase in orders during 2017.
