IBM i professionals reveal security and compliance concerns with legacy enterprise applications

PETERBOROUGH, NH – October 16, 2018 – 63 per cent of IBM i users in a new survey reveal their organizations are keeping legacy IT applications alive – either on IBM i or other platforms – because the historical data those systems hold remains useful. This is despite many survey respondents agreeing that running these obsolete systems poses a risk to digital transformation, data privacy and security.

The survey of 46 IBM i users, conducted by SoftLanding® Systems, a division of UNICOM® Global, was completed by attendees at two recent IBM i conferences, International i-Power 2018 and PowerUP18. 

3M draws attention to physical privacy issues as part of GDPR compliance

Bracknell, UK, 25 June 2018 – 3M, the science-based technology company, is working with UK businesses to raise awareness of ‘physical privacy’, following the introduction of the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25 May 2018, which requires organisations worldwide to rethink how they access, use and maintain personal data.

Research: Retail banks lose over half of European applicants during on-boarding

Trondheim, Norway, 23rd May 2018 - New research released today reveals that retail banks now lose 52% of potential customers at the on-boarding stage, an increase of 35% in the last two years.

The Battle to On-Board II report was commissioned by Signicat, the world’s leading trusted digital identity provider. The report looks at digital identity and its effect on retail bank on-boarding in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden, and follows up on similar research carried out two years ago.

A new magazine for a new era in data protection

Launched on Sunday 20th May, the Data Protection Magazine focuses on current data protection issues. GDPR Compliance Rules Require Over 2 Million Fleet Drivers To Revalidate Driving Licence Data Consent

Redgate adds fast, repeatable data masking to its database provisioning solution

Cambridge UK, Wednesday, 28 February, 2018 – In another move to ease the burden of remaining compliant with the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Redgate has enhanced its SQL Provision solution to make the masking of data even easier.
