Survey: Spending increase in tech by IT producing technology drift

London, UK; 29th March 2022: Technology spend for IT decision makers has increased by an average of 43% since the pandemic began, with 62% also experiencing technology drift in their company. That’s according to Orbus Software, a leading provider of cloud solutions for digital transformation, which surveyed IT decision makers across the US and UK to determine the increased financial demands of the pandemic.

The most common reasons for increased spending were revealed as onboarding new technology to support working from home and hybrid working (71%), rising technology costs (69%), and the introduction of new IT regulations (56%).

Only a third of CIOs cite cyber-risk mitigation as a performance measure

New research: Digital self-service now more popular than calling customer service

Crawley, UK, March 22, 2022 – Most consumers are ready to swap customer service calls for digital self-service in the wake of their experience during the pandemic, according to new survey findings released by Macro 4. The research, which examines UK consumer attitudes to household energy and water suppliers, suggests that 61 per cent of customers have become more comfortable interacting with companies digitally since the pandemic, on websites, apps and other online channels. And 60 per cent would now prefer not to call a live customer service person at all if they can solve their issues themselves using online resources.

Bot myths and fallacies leave two-thirds of businesses at higher risk of malicious attacks
