London, 21 June 2017: Communications and IT services provider, KCOM, has warned that the enterprise IT Request for Proposal (RFP) process requires urgent review if it is to enable organizations to use technology to meet business challenges effectively. Its analysis shows today’s RFPs are overly IT-focused, neglect wider business goals, stifle partner innovation and fail to guard against the future. 

Maidenhead, U.K. – June 20, 2017 – When WannaCry hit, the world learned that for two months a patch had been available that would have prevented the problem. But its victims were those that hadn’t yet deployed this patch. As many companies discovered the hard way, there is an unacceptable ‘risk window’ that persists between the discovery of a software vulnerability and when the patch is successfully installed. In 2016 17,147 vulnerabilities were recorded in 2,136 products from 246 vendors. 81 percent of those vulnerabilities had patches available on the same day as disclosure. But, on average, it takes companies 186 days to completely install those patches[1].

London – 19 June 2017: Business is booming for e-commerce retailers according to a new global* market study announced today by Peoplevox, a leading expert e-commerce Warehouse Management System (WMS) provider.

Peoplevox’s “The 2017 E-Commerce Fulfilment Report” found sales of 82% of the e-commerce and multichannel businesses taking part had increased in 2016, with only 6% reporting a decrease in orders. While many voiced concerns over increasing competition, Brexit and currency fluctuations, the majority (88%) expected a further increase in orders during 2017.
