New survey: Embracing the hybrid cloud tops the list of IBM mainframe customers’ modernization strategies

Crawley, UK, November 16, 2022 – New research suggests the majority (83%) of IBM mainframe customers are planning to modernize their mainframe systems. The most popular modernization strategy (mentioned by 46%) is embracing hybrid cloud – keeping zSystems applications where they are while integrating with cloud applications to add new functionality. Enhancing the user experience for end users (44%) and for developers (40%) also features highly on the list of mainframe modernization plans.

8 in 10 banking customers want to know the carbon impact of their spending

New research has found that nearly 8 in 10 (75%) UK mobile banking users want to know more about the carbon impact of their spending. The findings indicate that there is an unfulfilled appetite in the UK retail banking market for green banking features and products.

The research, run by carbon footprint management experts Cogo and the Behavioural Insights Team, surveyed 2,007 UK mobile banking users to investigate customer attitudes towards banks encouraging them to reduce their environmental impact.
