Research from Netacea reveals businesses don’t understand up to half of the traffic on their sites
Manchester, 16th July 2020—Research from Netacea, the bot detection and mitigation specialists, has found that many businesses are at risk from bot attacks—despite an awareness of the problem and a widely held belief that they have the problem under control.
Phishing attacks are regarded as the greatest cyber threat
15 July 2020: In a survey of UK cyber security, IT and business professionals, 86% of businesses expect cyber threats to increase over the next 12 months. The survey, commissioned by WatchGuard Technologies, also reveals that 44% of organisations have experienced a cyber attack over the last year – and alarmingly, another 11% either didn’t know, or were unsure whether they had been targeted.
Mware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, today released the results of its fourth UK-focused cybersecurity threat report, entitled: “Extended Enterprise Under Threat,” based on a survey of 251 UK CIOs, CTOs and CISOs.
The research found an increase in both cyberattack volume and breaches during the past 12 months in the UK. This has prompted increased investment in cyber defence, with UK businesses already using an average of more than eight different cybersecurity tools, the survey found.
Data for the report was compiled in March and April 2020 by an independent research company, Opinion Matters, on behalf of VMware Carbon Black.
