A constant worry of mine as CMS Report's editor is that we won't have enough articles to publish and give you reason to visit this little site of ours. Luckily, authors and contributors with interest in content management systems constantly prove that such my worries are unnecessary. This year almost 900 articles were submitted to CMS Report. I can't tell you how grateful I am for every article that was submitted to our site.
Organizations are investing time and resources to make the intranet (CIGNEX Datamatics can help) their central destination for all their employee needs. The intranet not only serves as a destination for knowledge management, but also helps to connect employees across all departments. This platform has emerged as a powerful communication tool for internal communications and adding newer dimension and functionalities to cater to all employee needs.
For the first time in a few years, CMS Report isn't present at Liferay's North American Symposium currently taking place in San Francisco. However, we still have plenty of our friends there helping to feed us with any CMS related news coming out of this conference. Probably the biggest news presented yesterday was Liferay, Inc. revealing Liferay Portal 6.2 to the crowd.
Rivet Logic Corporation, a leading consulting and systems integration firm, announced today the availability of two plug-ins to integrate Liferay Portal and Crafter CMS. The plug-ins seamlessly integrate Liferay with Crafter and are designed to enable the creation of rich digital experiences that improve customer and employee engagement.
I had the privileged of reviewing Liferay Portal for CMS-Connected's "In the Spotlight" segment. This is the first time, I've done a show with new co-host Butch Stearns. The end result is what I think is a great question and answer review of Liferay's products followed by Scott Liewehr's analyst perspective of Liferay the company. In the show, I talked about Liferay Portal and Liferay Social Office. I also had a chance to briefly mention Liferay Sync.
Samir Bhatt is the author of recently published Liferay Portal Performance Best Practices which provides guidance on how to build and define architecture of high performing Liferay based portal solutions. This is the second book after co-authoring Liferay Beginner’s Guide in 2012.
Sometimes timing is everything and some would argue that I should have written this story weeks ago. Earlier this month, Rivet Logic announced the launch of Crafter Software Corporation, which offers commercial support and licenses for the Crafter CMS open source project (previously known as Crafter Rivet). I didn't jump on the story and CMS Report is probably one of the few CMS news sites that didn't talk about the Crafter Rivet spin off into Crafter Software.

Below are the top ten stories of 2012 that we posted here at CMSReport.com. The stories in this list are ranked based on the rate they were viewed since they were first appeared online.
