UK Government’s Digital Service published its Writing for GOV.UK guide in 2014. In it, there are comprehensive guidelines to help writers, clearly stating that:

“Plain English is mandatory for all of GOV.UK... Plain English is the whole ethos of GOV.UK: it’s a way of writing.”

RiskIQ Identifies 450+ Sites Serving Malware

London, UK. 18 May, 2016 – New research from RiskIQ, the leader in external threat management, has identified over 450 pirate content sites serving Malware to people trying to download or stream illegal versions of Game of Thrones. This reinforces recent RiskIQ research showing that 6 in 10 consumers access pirated content and 75% of this pirated content is often used as the bait to serve malware.

When it comes to content management systems, these two questions are the ones that I get asked the most:

Here on the website, we've tried answering that question through a number of articles we have published over the years. But in reality my initial answers to the first question are almost always:

Over the past few days, I've combed through the pages and remain as impressed with the guide as I was with its original release.

There has been a lot of talk about big data recently, especially big data in the cloud. Often times both of these points — big data and cloud computing — are confusing to people. Fortunately, while they might be confusing elements to them, the essence of each of them is very simple, and when put together they form a very powerful combination. Cloud computing is the future, both for individuals and businesses. That being said, there’s a lot of confusion about how cloud computing works and what it can do for businesses and if it’s really safe or not.

I've been so busy lately that I haven't had time to put out a plug for my review of the Magnolia CMS on CMS-Connected last month. This was probably one of the easiest shows I've done in the sense that the Internet connection was good and the rest of the show seemed to complement my own segment well. I'm very selective when it comes to promoting white papers. A white paper is a document often used as a marketing or sales tool in business. White papers are long-form content designed to promote a products or service which often use selected facts favorable to the company sponsoring the document. That use of "selected facts" bothers the natural-born scientist in me. However, every now and then you come across one of these papers that holds true, is well written, and by an author or analyst you respect.
