Episerver Experience Cloud promises the best from Ektron and Episerver

This was a busy week for web developers, marketers, and users of both Episerver and Ektron. This was the week where many that follow these platforms converged in Las Vegas for EPiServer Ascend 2015. I didn't attend the customer conference, but from what I have been told and what I have read is that people walked away from this conference impressed. It is also at this conference that the Fall 2015 release of the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud was announced.

Ektron Version 8 Released

Earlier this week, Ektron Inc. announced the release of Ektron CMS400.NET version 8.0. Version 8.0 builds on Ektron’s social software and enterprise Web content management to allow for the creation of sites that today’s web users expect. Version 8.0 includes the new eMarketing Suite, complete with the analytics, multivariate testing, drag and drop page assembly, ecommerce and enhanced site management tools that marketing teams can use to drive measurable business results.

Ektron, FatWire, ocPortal and Sitecore added to CMS Report's top 30 list

During the past few weeks, I have been quietly updating CMS Report's CMS Focus page. CMS Focus is a list of the top 30 Web applications representing what I see as the Web applications of today and tomorrow which interest me the most. In a world where niche CMS news sites try to cover it all for their readers, I feel one of the strengths of CMSReport.com is limiting our focus on a certain number of CMS. The CMS on this list are applications I recommend site owners first look at before moving into the deeper waters of content management and social software.
